Children are always welcome! There wouldn't be babywearing without children. You know your child best, if you think bringing along a babysitter for some of the time would be beneficial, please make arrangements. Utah State University campus is lovely with lots of grass and trees. There will be time for your child during breaks to simply run (not away we hope).

Just a few comments from participants:

"I have learned in the two days of the babywearing retreat the answers I have been searching for over the past two years. I have been given the keys to accepting myself which in turn brings peace to my whole family. Along with helping my children recognize their feelings and using their energy correctly. I have finally understood the way my parents were raised and its affects on my parenting and how I can break the chain of bad habits. Thank you for giving to me the keys of a peaceful family."

"Thank you so much for this retreat. I'm grateful for the child-friendly atmosphere that made it possible for me to come and the opportunity it gave for me to keep learning. I have been very interested in baby wearing and have not had much luck, now I know what I need to do. Now my natural parenting  experience will be more complete."

"Day 2  has been excellent! Great variety of topics and well prepared speakers. The relaxed atmosphere made it very comfortable to get involved."

"I'm so glad you put this all together. I really did learn a lot. If you do it again, gimme a call! I was glad that it was such a family oriented atmosphere. Thank you for showing me how to babywear and why it is so important. "

"Class was great! Hopefully we can reach more people and bring back parenting techniques that have been forgotten. "

Certified Footzoner Merrilyn Lynch (Smithfield, Utah) is helping a 10 day overdue mom with foot zoning. (Went into labor Wednesday, the day after the retreat ended, but didn't have her 8 lb baby boy before Friday - wow- long labor)

Children are always welcome at the Babywearing Institute

What does baby massage have to do with babywearing? It helps stretch baby's legs so they will be outside the carrier for a healthier positioning. Check the research link to see why.

A Babywearing retreat needs to have some babywearing with babywearing educators
